South Carolina native Doug Heyl has spent almost thirty years working in campaigns at the local, state, and federal level including managing five state wide campaigns and working in three Presidential campaigns including the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign where he was Southern Political Director. As a partner at All Points Communications from 2003-2006 and as President of Scout Communications since 2007, Heyl has produced media for winning campaigns in 16 states. In 2012 Heyl produced the media for AFSCME Michigan’s successful campaign to defeat the state’s undemocratic Emergency Manager law, Public Act 4.

Heyl has held political roles at the DCCC and DSCC and was the lead strategist for Glenn Cunningham’s historic campaign to be the first African American for Mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey.
